Peter Loo, Senior Pastor
Peter Loo has been resident in the UK since the late 70s, when he left his native Malaysia to pursue an Electrical Engineering Degree in the University of London. While at college, he met with Christ and since then, has played an active role serving in college and church.
After graduating, he married Saw Lan, a teacher by training. They have two daughters, Sie Yan who is married to Andy Haslam (Youth Worker) and Munn Yan, a student.
Peter’s professional background is in telecommunications, namely, systems design and analysis of software for telephone systems. Until 2006 he was deputy Director at a leading international mobile communications company. In October 2006 God called him to become the next Senior Pastor of EEC.
Peter was officially installed as Senior Pastor on 30th November 2008, after he and Saw Lan had completed a one year biblical training course at the Singapore Theological College of Asia, under the counsel of the Senior Pastor of Trinity Christian Centre.
Peter is also one of the founding elders of EEC. His hobbies include rearing fish and reading. His passion is to see Christ being known and honoured in the UK and to raise up sons and daughters of the church to fulfil their God defined destinies.
Colin Williams, Pastor
Colin became a Christian in 1985 and was baptised in 1987. He first joined EEC in January 2000 as the Marketing and Operations Manager for the centre. During this time, Colin served as a Cell Leader, Zone Leader and the pastoral leader of a young adult ministry.
In 2005, Colin became a full-time member of the pastoral staff and studied for a Postgraduate Diploma in Mission Leadership with the University of Wales. In October 2010, Colin became a full-time pastor at EEC.
Colin is married to Paulette, a gifted teacher and worshipper. His other passions are worship, mission and Arsenal Football Club – no particular order!
Doreen Teh, Pastor
Doreen Teh came to the UK in 1979 training to be a nurse and specialising in ophthalmic nursing. She also has a degree in sociology.
Doreen began serving at Emmanuel Evangelical Church as a cell leader before becoming a zone leader and a district leader. In 2008 she was invited by Pastor Peter Loo to join the staff team, focusing her energies at the new church plant, Emmanuel North West. In 2014 Doreen was commissioned as a Pastor of Emmanuel Church.
Doreen met her husband Tony at a prayer meeting with a Malaysian Christian Fellowship in London and they got married in 1986. They have two daughters, Grace and Nicola.
In her spare time Doreen enjoys gardening and travelling, exploring nature and building architecture.
