Life Hope: Mission in Birmingham with Operation Mobilisation

You will be working with an international team alongside a church in the wider Birmingham area helping the members of this church reach out to its neighbourhood through various community projects. OM will provide orientation and training to help you share your faith. Activities will probably include kids and youth ministry, some door-to-door, and a social action project. For those with creative and other gifts you can be involved in the dramas, singing and crafts.

Accommodation will either be in church member’s homes or at the church. You should come prepared to sleep on the floor. Bring your own sleeping bag and mat. Food will be provided at the church. Groups and married couples are welcome.

Cost: £160 excludes travel to Birmingham

Tell-A-Tourist Easter Outreach

Partnering with London City Mission you will be involved in reaching out to tourists in London.  You will learn how to:

  • Present the message of the Gospel on the streets using sketch boards. 
  • Engage in one-to-one conversations with tourists. 

Distribute Bible excerpts and Literature in many different languages.

Cost: £150 (includes food, accommodation and transport in London)

Life Hope – Mission in Wales with Operation Mobilisation

You will be working with an international team alongside experienced workers. Each day there will be training in various aspects of outreach, street ministry in an urban area and each evening you will work with a local church. You will have plenty of opportunities to share your faith one to one as well as being an encouragement to one of the local churches by serving them in their ongoing ministry. The outreach will take place in a county and surrounding areas called „The Vale of Glamorgan which is mainly made up of smaller towns with one or two larger urban areas. Activities could include: street evangelism, literature distribution, prayer walks, door to door outreach, children and youth ministry, participation in Sunday services.

For most of the time the teams will be accommodated all together at a local Christian conference centre which will be the base of operations and the venue for training.  Groups and married couples are welcome.

Cost: £195 excludes travel to Cardiff

Teens in Mission in Southampton with Operation Mobilisation

You will be working with an established community project, building on relationships developed over the years. Each year, we partner with an organisation in a socially deprived area that offers a week of fun events for children, youth and their families. Based in the Dip Park, there will be kids clubs, face painting, hair braiding, nail painting, bouncy castle, sports, games, drama, dance, BBQs and lots of fun. You will help out with the different activities and make friends with the people in the community. 

Accommodation: You will be sleeping in church halls, so you need to be prepared and bring your sleeping bag and mat.

Cost: £155 excludes travel to Southampton

International China Concern Outreach

Be a part of a mission providing hope, love and opportunity to China’s abandoned disabled children.  Working with International China Concern (ICC), an established Christian Organisation in China.  Volunteers with medical skills will be able to use these during the mission.

Ghana – Home of Purpose and Excellence (HOPE)

You will be helping the founder of HOPE Marie Reynolds in providing a programme and activities for the 9 children who are currently living in HOPE.  You will also participate in community activities in the local churches, offering support, prayer and practical help with new initiatives run by Marie such as the sponsorship programme to local children.

 

There is opportunity to participate with a group or as individuals; accommodation will be provided at HOPE.

India Mission

You will be partnering with Christian Missions Charitable Trust and take part in an action packed mission involving visits to the slum areas of Chennai, Soup Kitchens, Leprosy mission and orphanages.  Volunteers will see the remarkable work started by founder Dr Colleen Redit and how God has used her to bring about hope to hundreds of the poor and abandoned in Chennai, India

Our Mission

We are committed to any endeavour outside our local congregation to a different cultural group or sub-culture, both overseas and in the UK, to fulfil the Great Commission of Jesus by proclaiming the gospel of Christ, making disciples, planting churches, aiding in their growth and relating to the whole need of mankind, both spiritual and physical.

We desire:

  • To obey the direct command of Christ to His people (Matt.18: 18-20; John 20: 21; Mark 16: 15)
  • To be one with Christ in His continuing love for the world (Luke 10: 2; 19: 10; Matt. 18: 11-14; 10: 32-33)
  • To bring people to a saving knowledge of God through Christ (John 3: 16; Romans 10: 13-15)
  • To minister to the totality of human need (Matt. 25: 31-46; James 1: 27; Lk. 10: 29-37).
The scope of the MTF missions programme
  1. Promote increased mission awareness.
  2. Develop regular and effective prayer support for missionaries/missions in EEC
  3. Identify and encourage potential missionaries in the church.
  4. Minister to the needs of missionaries whilst in the field and on furlough.
  5. Organise missionary meetings and seminars on missions.
  6. Mission trips which will nurture our people.
  7. Plan and prepare annual missions budget.
  8. Liaise between the church and missionary organisations and agencies.
